Time To Move

Finally , we've found a buyer for our house . It's amazing how tedious it is to sell one's house . Many times , we have to get out of the house to let some prospective buyers take a look at it . Sometimes , in the middle of something . Next week, the house inspector will do a thorough look at everything . I'll miss this house 'coz it's the 1st one we built ourselves . The other ones , we are the not the 1st owners. I remember doing wiring for the internet and speakers when it was still being built .

I was told by the agent , the buyer will do an inspection 2 days before the closing .Our agent was nice though . He gave us a gift pack for $ 50 for our fav resto and other give aways .I guessed his commission can afford it .The next few days , we will be up to our neck in packing our stuff. We only have the end of this month and next 2 weeks to do this . We have accumulated so much stuff , some 'garbage' now, we have to throw some or give 'em away. I'm not into garage sales . I'd rather give stuff away than sell these .

Good luck with everything. I moved 6 times in a 1 year span. I probably don't have as much stuff as you guys do because I'm a college student, but it's still a hassle. Everytime I've moved I end up giving a lot of stuff away because I just don't feel like dragging it to the next apartment. Again, good luck with everything. And just out of curiousity, how did you stumble upon my blog?

Ah, the joys of moving! I always find this as some sort of therapy.

Congrats on selling your house. Hope you enjoy the new one even more!

The good thing about a new house is the smell . Nothing beats a newly built house where everything is spanking new .

Congratulations on selling! I know how hard selling a house can be.
....and moving, I can't stand moving, but it is a great way to reduce the stuff you have collected.
Good luck!

We are a military family so we move around alot. We have boxes that we've been carrying around with us that we don't even remember what's in them anymore. I keep telling myself that I will go through every box in the garage and get rid of the junk but I never do.

Oh the whoa's of selling a house and buying a new one, and the whole strenuous moving process. Not to be such a bummer, but I would not want to be in your shoes right now!

Good luck though! I hope it all goes to plan and is as smooth a process as it can be!

oh wow!
well ur moving i guess..where to? and why u selling the house if I may ask?

Hope everything wraps up ok without any damages.

Its always hard to give up the first home. We lived in a beautiful home after our marriage and then we took efforts to do it up and then we had to give it away and sell all our furniture coz we moved away!
I still miss the house and think fondly about it!

Blonde - the beauty of living with few baggages . It's like life , the older you get , the more experiences you acqure.

Yelow Granny / Nike /FM / Lee Ann / Keshi / Becky ; They say that there are 2 most streesful events in a man's life - death and moving

Robin - you're a pro then . not openind he boxes save energy i guess

Ekta - the new house is in the same area .

Congrats on the selling, and best of luck on the weeding process. My last move was 15 years ago, and I shudder to think what it would take now to move out of my confortable little abode. At least I'm pretty good about weeding all along, as Goodwill always gets bundles from me all the time. Of course, I head right back through the front door to buy more stuff I don't need.

Not envying your packing and unpacking at all. No matter how well you label the boxes, you always end up stuffing things in them at the last minute... which then takes weeks to find later.
Good luck!
